Winners of the Car Design Awards China winners describe their internships

With the 2015 Car Design Awards China now launched and open to entries, we caught up with some of the winners of the 2014 edition to find out about their current internships.Four of those we spoke to had the unique opportunity to pack their bags and head west to Detroit’s CCS college in the US to take part in its annual Cultural Immersion Workshop, while two others were placed in the Shanghai studios of Geely and Qoros. 阅读中文请点击这里Here they describe the highlights of their experiences so far, in their own words: Name Guo JiayiInternship CCS, Detroit USAge 23Home town BeijingSchool CAFA (Central Academy of Fine Arts) "The most interesting part of my internship was working with professional designers from different countries, exchanging ideas and learning from each other. Each of us has a different point of view and style, so looking at the combination of the American and other cultures is very interesting.

College Exhibition: Elisava Design Degree Show 2004

Nov 26, 2004 - Graduating students from the Transportation Design Masters program at Spain's Elisava School of Design presented their work in the 2004 Degree Show entitled 'Mobility Techniques' held in July at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion, in Barcelona. Go to Photo Gallery 120 photos The projects shown are based on a wide vision of transportation design and take into consideration mobility, aerodynamics, environmental impact, ergonomics, legislation, materials, production, security, technology and aesthetic principles. They also aim to provide strategic solutions of design that can generate a new commercial and brand potential for industry.

Ford Iosis X concept

With an abundance of small SUVs entering the European market, Ford has been conspicuously absent from this segment, something that the Iosis X will hope to quell. Using the same 'kinetic design' theme as the Iosis concept from last year, the Iosis X puts a coupe-like window graphic and roofline upon thick sills, similar in this respect to the Opel Antara concept. But while Opel will have their model on the road imminently, those wanting the Ford equivalent will have to wait until early 2008 for the forms to be toned down and put in showrooms.
